Blessed Piecemakers is separate from Sierra Pines Women's Love Covers Ministry.
We meet twice a month, with their blessings and their generous sharing of donated fabric and supplies.

Experienced quilters can help you get started or if you're an old hand at quilting, you'll probably show us a thing or two. Our comforters are created to be gifts of comfort not entries in the county fair. Our goal is colorful and cozy, not perfection!

*For speed and symbolism, BLESSED PIECEMAKERS join the layers of the quilts (top, filling & back) with knots of craft thread or yarn. Each knot is tied with prayer. Pieced quilt tops that are tied instead of hand or machine quilted are called “comforters” and that's what we're all about! Gatherings begin and end with prayer. Fabric is chosen, cut and pieced with the friendship and laughter of an old-time quilting bee. A verse of scripture and a the symbol of the cross are sewn into each comforter. Wheel chair and nap size comforters are planned as well as fund-raising quilts for Sierra Pines Church ministries.

Do you sew, cut or press? Can you tie a knot? Would you like to learn to quilt* or to use the skills you have to make “comforters” for folks in our community who need a bit of touchable love to keep warm?

Pack your lunch plus your sewing machine and quilting tools (if you have them) and join us twice a month from 10 am to 2 pm. No experience needed. There's plenty for willing hands to do.
